The Joshua Fund Rescues Hundreds of Dogs Each Year From High Kill Shelters.

1.2 Million Dogs are Euthanized Every Year in The U.S.

How We Use Your Donation

Even the smallest amount Matters

97% of every dollar donated to The Joshua Fund goes directly to help rescue dogs in need. We have no salaried employees, and rely entirely on the generous support of volunteers and donations.

We rescue puppies and full grown dogs, 90% of which are heart worm positive. This is a literal death sentence in an overcrowded shelter where there’s little chance that anyone will adopt them in time. The Joshua Fund pays for the basic medical care and needs for every dog we rescue, and, when necessary, also pays for the heart worm treatment and required bed rest for heart worm positive dogs. This is an expensive treatment, costing $750 and more.

We Are Proud to Have a 100% Placement Record

Since 2011, The Joshua Fund has saved over 1000 dogs from certain death. Our team works tirelessly to perfectly match our rescue dogs with their new owners, and place them in new, loving, forever homes.

Our adoption coordinator does an incredible job checking references and speaking to adoption and foster candidates to make sure she has made the perfect match. I daresay, no other rescue offers this kind of personal attention to detail, making certain that our dogs are truly placed in forever homes.

You Can't Miss Us!

We're always on the move! Given to the Joshua Fund in 2015 by a very generous donor, this Ford Econoline van is specially outfitted for rescue dog transport. You'll find us traveling throughout the Northeast, picking up dogs and puppies we've rescued from all over the country, from as far away as Texas and Tennessee. Some arrive by ground and transfer into our care. Others arrive by air and we'll pick up at a major airport, or small regional FBO, working with the Pilots and Paws network.
